Adult Dog training Classes

Whether this is your dogs first training class or they are continuing on from our puppy classes, make sure your dog is on the path to good behavior. Topics will include place, leash walking, recall, potty training, mouthing and jumping, commands, mental vs. physical exercise, teaching calm, socialization, problem prevention and building positive associations. This class is much more than your typical obedience based adult dog class and is the foundation for a lifetime of good behavior and effective communication. 

One hour, small classes, over a four week period for dogs 6 months and older. Thursdays at 5pm or Saturdays at 10:30am.

Leash Reactivity class

!!! ONLY FOR CLIENTS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED WITH OUR TRAINERS ON LEASH WORK !!!

A class for reactive or non reactive dogs and their owners. This class is open to all reactivity levels and is designed to help owners achieve a loose leash, non reactive, relaxing and enjoyable walk for them and their dog. For the safety of all dogs and humans, there will be specific rules laid out at the beginning of each class that must be adhered to at all times. This class is only open to owners who have previously worked with one of our trainers and has a recommenced tool that you are using to achieve a structured walking position. If you sign up and have not previously worked with one of our trainers on leash work, you will be asked to leave. This class is designed to resolve reactivity and build a more confident dog and handler in a non judgmental, fun and inclusive format.

Single session, two hour class. Held outdoors, weather permitting. Sundays 8-10am.

Coffee with Dogs

The name says it all. Coffee and conversation is provided for the humans while their dog achieves a more relaxed association with being in close proximity to other dogs. In order for a dog to truly overcome their reactivity, it requires extended periods of exposure with a neutral or ideally positive outcome. This class is meant to work in tandem with our leash reactivity classes in order to offer another context with which to achieve comfortability. This class is an incredibly relaxed setting where owners can ask questions about their dogs behavior and conversations can often wander outside of the realm of the canine variety.

For the safety of all dogs and humans, there will be specific rules laid out at the beginning of each class that must be adhered to at all times. This class is only open to owners who have previously worked with one of our trainers on their dogs reactivity. If you sign up and have not previously worked with one of our trainers on their dogs reactivity, you will be asked to leave. A three plus mile leash reactivity group class on the move.
